NEWS RELEASE – TUESDAY 6TH JULY 2004

1.0 Today, Tuesday 6th July 2004 is the 7th day of the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair. We would like to inform our esteemed exhibitors, visitors and members of the general public to visit the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair link under www.tptanzania.com/ditf where you can get daily updates of the ongoing 28th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair including News Release.

2.0 VIP VISITS
2.1 H.E. Ali Hassan Mwinyi, President of the United Republic of Tanzania (Rtd) will visit the fair grounds at 14.00 hrs;

2.2 H.E. Dr. Salmin Amour, President of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar (Rtd) is expected to visit the fair grounds at 11.00 hrs;

2.3 Honourable Joseph Sinde Warioba, Former Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania is expected to visit the fair grounds at 11.00 hrs;

2.4 Honourable Regional Chairpersons of the Ruling Party (CCM) will also visit the fair grounds at 11.00 hrs.

Programme of visit will be circulated to pavilions/stand to be visited well in advance.

3.0 We wish to remind all exhibitors of a few conditions which we request you to observe:-
• All pavilions/stands should be manned throughout the period of the fair i.e. from 10.00 to 19.00 hrs;

• Exhibitors will not be allowed to sell Pharmaceuticals unless they have special permits from the Tanzania Pharmacy Board;

• All direct sales require payment of stamp duty or VAT for VAT registered operators. Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) officials will be available to assist.

• Playing loud music is not permissible. Those found playing loud music may have their equipment confiscated and stands closed by our security team on duty.

• In order to avoid inconveniencing other exhibitors no exhibitor will be allowed to remove exhibits before the close of the fair on the 10th July 2004 at 6 p.m;
