NEWS RELEASE – WEDNESDAY 7TH JULY 2004

1.0 Today 7th July 2004 is the eighth day of the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair. It is a SABA SABA Public Holiday. The day is expected to be busy and hectic as many people will visit the fair grounds. We suggest that you remain alert and avoid leaving your stand unattended.

2.0 We wish to remind all exhibitors that:-

2.1 In order to avoid inconveniencing other exhibitors no exhibitor will be allowed to remove exhibits before the close of the fair on the 10th July 2004 at 6 p.m;

2.2 We advise all exhibitors in need of specific business contacts to seek guidance from the Fair Management, please feel free to contact the Management Tel: 0741-328049, 0741-322829, 0741-217663.

2.3 All direct sales require payment of stamp duty or VAT, for VAT registered operators. Tanzania Revenue authority (TRA) officials will be available to assist;

2.4 All pavilions be manned throughout the period of the fair i.e. from 10.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs;

2.5 Exhibitors will not be allowed to sell Pharmaceutical unless they have special permits from the Tanzania Food and Drugs authority;

2.6 The BET research team will continue with data collection exercise. You are all requested to extend your full co-operation.

3.0 The Board of External Trade wishes to inform all Tanzania exhibitors, visitors and members of the general public that it intends to organize participation of Tanzania in some overseas trade promotion events for the period of 2004/2005. A list of these event is attached. Interested companies may contact the Board of External Trade.
