TPC and Swahilization Program The Tanzania Press Centre intends to embark on the Swahilization of media-related subjects including Investigative reporting, marketing, finance, management and business administr4ation Negotiations with potential supporters are still going on and according to the center's caretaker co-ordinator, Sammy Makilla fruits of the protracted discussions will be seen very soon. The program comes with the realization that most journalists in the country do write and read news using Kiswahili and not English. Training journalists in their mother tongue it is hoped may have a better effect in improving specific and general skills of those who work for the Swahili media in the country and in other parts of Africa and the world in general. **** ****
